Infection ControlKnowing Where Your Patients Are Real Time The Responder system knows where all patients are in your facility. These patients can be marked discretely for treatment reasons. These patients can then be viewed by the appropriate Infectious Disease staff member to conduct their rounds, audit for proper precautions, and getting that patient in the best room to suit their needs.
Aiding Other Departments Daily By having a patient's special needs indicated in the Responder system also helps out other staff members caring for that patient and the facility. These departments are:
- Ancillary Departments - act as an additional reminder for transportation staff or those providing bedside care
- Bed Control - placing the patient in the proper room for their medical needs
- Dietary - assist in proper procedures being followed for meal tray delivery
- Environmental Services - any special precautions for room cleaning can be further emphasized
- Plant Operations/Facilities - help these staff members in determining whether to service a room or wait until it is unoccupied
