With Med-Surg units being one of the busiest, the Responder systems work with the staff to streamline processes. From just a push of a button, automatic notification to staff can be achieved for countless applications. 

For example a "New Patient in Room" button tells the caregiver to introduce themselves to the patient and complete the admit process.  Alternatively, a physician can notify the RN which room they are in and that they need their assistance.  Remote cancel buttons located just inside the patient rooms allow staff to cancel bedside calls without having to move equipment or disturb the patient by reaching above the patient's bed.

Regular reminders can be sent automatically to remind staff to turn patients routinely or to return medical keys before shift ends or any other reminders that pertain to your specific unit.  To expedite response times, emergency calls such as Bed Exit, Staff Assist or Code Blue can be set to ring all wireless phones on a unit for the fastest possible patient care. 

Information Where You Need It
With staff always in motion, the need to locate care partners must to be fast and easy.  Responder allows you to set up real-time displays showing where staff are and displays can be located anywhere they are necessary.  The same display could also show a list of pending calls along with their caregiver's wireless extension visually alerting all staff of activity.  Large electronic greaseboards can show customized patient information and be updated in real-time for the most accurate information relieving congestion at the nursing station.
