RadiologyCommunicating Your Needs on the Floor When a patient is transported back to his or her room after an MRI, CT scan, or other test, you can use Responder to notify the RN the tests are complete and the patient is back in their room. With the use of Responder process buttons or whiteboard, your staff can easily communicate directly to that patient's nurse, aid, or other caregiver. This expedites patient care and allows for a smoother transition from caregiver to caregiver.
Better Workflow Inside and Outside the Department
Responder uses corridor lights and buttons to display room status (room occupied, test in progress, physician needed) uniformly and clearly. If an image needs to be redone for some reason -your staff or radiologists can view the Responder whiteboard to identify the specific caregiver in charge of the patient and order a re-image. Finding the right person to communicate the need is key to minimizing delays and streamlining processes within your radiology department. By placing Responder process buttons in the ED, emergency staff can communicate directly with radiology. For example, the button "X-ray" can request a portable chest x-ray, or "RAD" can tell staff that an order has been placed for radiology services. Messages can go directly to a wireless device stating the need and the bay # in the ED. This streamlined approach gets the message to the right radiology staff and improves turnaround time for the patient.
Whatever the process, whatever your need – the messaging and delivery are customized to fit. |
