Powerful, Intelligent Platform Designed for Today’s Digital Healthcare Age to Improve Patient Outcomes, Staff Satisfaction
Mount Prospect, IL – February 12, 2020
Rauland will provide attendees of the HIMSS 2020 Global Health Conference & Exhibition a first look at powerful new additions to its next generation clinical workflow platform. The Responder® Enterprise solution – along with new accessory product lines and a clinical mobile app – will be on display at the health information and technology conference (Booth 5551) March 9-13.
Responder Enterprise was purpose built to support the digital transformation in healthcare. It offers clinical leaders an intelligent nurse call solution that can be used to optimize workflows, and IT leaders an enterprise-grade solution that will meet their security and reliability initiatives. Responder Enterprise is an integration powerhouse that captures a unique set of data offering insights that directly correlate to improved patient outcomes and staff satisfaction.
“As the healthcare industry continues to transform in the digital age, and the need to manage large, diverse data sets grows, it is imperative that technology adapt and that powerful solutions be developed to allow the seamless exchange of information in the healthcare continuum,” said Tim Keller, market manager of acute care North America for Rauland, a global leader in technology solutions for hospitals and hospital systems. “Our next generation platform and innovative accessories gather data seamlessly for easier decision-making and provide nurses and administrators more mobility and actionable data to improve outcomes.”
Nurse Call in the Palm of Your Hand
Making its official debut at HIMSS20, the Responder Enterprise Clinical Mobile App is easy to use and offers backed intelligent call routing, with fast, direct patient-to-staff and staff-to-staff communication, to ensure the call reaches the correct person right away. Designed for iOS or Android devices, the app puts real-time information at nurses’ fingertips wherever they may be working, to ensure quick response to patient needs.
“The Clinical Mobile App is a key development and natural extension to our optimization technology,” said Jennifer Holden, vice president for market and product strategy at Rauland. “This add-on option underscores Rauland’s commitment to convergence of current and future technologies, helping our customers easily view data and draw insights to boost patient safety and staff satisfaction.”
Real-time Location Identification
Further enhancing the Responder Enterprise IT platform is the launch of Rauland EveryWear™, a real-time wearable location system that converges with other technologies to empower clinical teams, apply best practices across multiple facilities, and improve quality of care and overall productivity. Using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology, Rauland EveryWear monitors clinical response time and efficiency, helping to smooth operations and optimize staffing.
“Rauland EveryWear allows teams to identify highly specific information, including which nurse is in any given room at any time,” said Keller. “Automatically inputting this information in customer dashboards gives them a bird’s eye view of performance and staffing, and can help hospitals and health systems improve capabilities and performance.”
Focus on Security
As with all Rauland Enterprise technology, data security is built-in from the ground up. The IT platform and its optional add-ons support protected user management and role-based security to ensure only authenticated users are authorized to access sensitive data. It works enterprise-wide to block hackers, while enabling verified access to support clinical teams. “A solid IT foundation with centralized servers like Rauland Enterprise dramatically decreases costs while increasing security, access and ease of scalability in the event of future growth,” said Keller.
Customers can depend on Rauland’s commitment to helping them maintain their IT security infrastructure while giving them flexibility to adapt technologies to future needs.
Indeed, interoperability with other technologies remain a focus for Rauland. “We continuously evaluate the marketplace and partner with software developers to offer meaningful integrated features that are both scalable and actionable,” said Holden.
