MT. PROSPECT, IL (January 24) – Information on workflow events and room status can now be shared across hospital systems using a new integration of Rauland Responder All Touch® with Connexall’s clinical communication software platform.

The solution expands All Touch capabilities to share a complete picture of Responder related events and workflows. Using this integration, both systems, Responder and Connexall, exchange interrelated events to support best practices for room based workflows.

    Workflow Integrations
With this integration, workflow notifications are shared between systems, with Responder initiating patient event workflows and Connexall sharing notifications and alarms from related systems, like medical devices. Responder integrates the corridor light notification for these third-party device alerts, and the event management integration preserves Responder’s patient-to-nurse communications via direct connection with no time delays, allowing full detail in reporting of all patient calls and staff voice response, as well as staff presence.

This intelligent integration to the Connexall system ensures that the right clinical message gets to the right role in the hospital, regardless of where the data to be communicated originates. This functionality provides increased clinician confidence by supplying actionable status alarms/alerts for their assigned patients.

Previous Responder/Connexall integrations using legacy communication protocols will continue to be supported.

    Responder All Touch
Responder All Touch software is the first instance of a nurse call system integrating directly to a hospital patient’s electronic medical record, allowing the systems to share information bi-directionally.

This new event-sharing workflow builds on the interoperability solutions of Rauland Responder in delivering workflow and process solutions across the hospital for critical healthcare communications. Responder is installed in more than one million acute care beds in 40 countries, helping hospitals and staff improve workflow, drive patient satisfaction and automate communications.

“The new integration between Connexall and the Rauland All Touch software illustrates our continued commitment to providing the best experience for patients, caregivers and staff in the clinical environment”, stated Craig Martin, director of product management for Connexall. “By expanding our partnership and integration capabilities, we are now able to support full, context based, bi-directional communication between our two products.”

The Responder All Touch software suite encompasses direct integrations to support clinical workflows and communications, saving nursing time, keeping systems in sync, and reducing noise and alarm fatigue. The All Touch solution includes integrations for EMR documentation and enhanced communication for wireless workflows, smart beds, bed management, IPTV and medical devices.
